Save the Children held a meeting in Kathmandu with relevant government agencies to discuss the progress of its education programs over the past five years and future collaboration with the government in the education sector.In the attendance, among others, were Dr. Hari Lamsal, Joint Secretary at the Ministry of Education, Science and Technology (MoEST), Mr. Rudra Prasad Adhikari, Deputy Director General from Centre for Education and Human Resource Development (CEHRD), Mr. Baikuntha Aryal, Director General from Curriculum Development Centre (CDC) and Mr. Chandrakanta Bhusal, Director General from Education Review Office (ERO).

 

The meeting was chaired by Tara Chettry, Deputy Country Director at Save the Children. On program priorities over the next five years, Dr. Lamsal, Joint Secretary at MoEST said, “One program would be to develop and roll out technology-based Trainer Development Program (TDP), such as online modular courses, for teachers for a better impact on children’s learning and its wider outreach.”
